Robert Griffin III
Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III set an NFL single-season record for passer rating by a rookie with 102.4, while earning NFL "Rookie of the Year" and Pro Bowl honors last season.
And now, he also had the top-selling jersey in NFL history, reports http://www.nikenflcom.com/
While exact figures were not disclosed, ESPN's Darren Rovell reports that Griffin's jersey paced sales from April 1, 2012 until March 1, 2013, an impressive feat considering the quarterback phenom was not officially in the NFL until the Redskins selected him with the #2 overall pick of the 2012 NFL draft on April 26th.
Griffin was one of seven QBs to rank in the Top 10 in jersey sale rankings.
Others included Peyton Manning (#2), Andrew Luck of the Colts (#6), Colin Kaepernick of the San Francisco 49ers (#4), Tom Brady of the New England Patriots (#5), Aaron Rodgers of the Green
